Gerard Galusha Obituary
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 10) at the Doran Funeral Home, Inc., 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, (Nov. 11) at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. James Fennessy, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls.
If desired, contributions may be made to Sands Cancer Center, 360 Parrish St., Canandaigua, 14424 or St. Patrick's Church Bayard St., Seneca Falls, 13148.
Jerry was born on March 10, 1964 and was the son of Dominick Galusha and the late Maria Manzari Galusha.
He was a 1982 graduate of Mynderse Academy where he excelled at football, wrestling and lacrosse. He later attended the State University College of Technology at Canton.
Jerry worked for Kelsey Construction, Goulds Pumps, Inc. and most recently, the Village of Seneca Falls Department of Public Works. He was active in the community by coaching and coordinating the youth lacrosse program for 17 years. He served on the Seneca Falls Parks and Recreation Commission, Seneca Falls Recreation Center Booster Club, the Mynderse Academy Soccer Booster Club and the Mynderse Academy Steering Committee. Jerry coached youth baseball, soccer and lacrosse whenever needed.
His greatest joy in life was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Midey Galusha, whom he married on February 15, 1991; two sons: Daniel and Phillip of Seneca Falls; father, Dominick Galusha II; brother, Dominick Galusha III; mother-in-law, Rita Midey; sister-in-law, Joan Blanchard; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Mary Midey; his cherished nieces and nephews: Greg and Tricia Blanchard, Sean Roulan and Rachel Midey and Brittany and Domnick Galusha; aunts uncles and cousins; and many dear friends.
Jerry was predeceased by his mother, Maria Manzari Galusha; father-in-law, Dean Midey; and brother-in-law, Jim Blanchard.

Nancy and family,I was so sorry to hear about Jerry. Whenever I think of him I can remember how he always made me laugh,I remember the good times we had growing up playing Little League baseball for Sylvania, I can still see him behind the plate catching when I was pitching. Jerry will be missed but never forgotten, someday we all see each other again and laugh. May God bless you and your family, my prayers are with you.

One of our fonest memories of Jerry was when he was a little guy playing junior football. He had a lot of enthusiasm and always a big smile. Our thoughts are with you and our deepest sympathy in the loss of your love one.
