John Reed Obituary

CLIFTON SPRINGS– John "Reedo" A. Reed, age 65, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, (March 19), from 6 p.m. to 9pm at the R.A. Patrick Funeral Home, 26 W. Main St., Clifton Springs. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, (March 20) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited in Reedo's memory.

John was born June 13, 1958, in Clifton Springs, the son of the late John and Meryl Reed. He was a lifelong farmer at Reedland Farms llc. Reedo was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed snowmobiling and joyrides on his Harley. He loved children and was always the prankster. Reedo was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. But most important to Reedo was his family. He was a loving brother, uncle, great uncle, nephew and friend. Reedo will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his brother, James (Christine) Reed; sister, Kathy Craig; nieces and nephews, Irene Reed, Joseph (Lynsey) Reed, and Jamison (Tiffany) Reed; great nieces and nephews, Emma and Paige Jacobson, Samara Reed, Madelyn Reed, Eliza Reed, Caleb Congilosi, Jax Reed, Jayce Reed, Lee and Pete Craig; aunt, Shirley Hayden; several cousins and a plethora of dear friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, John Reed and Meryl McCarthy; stepmother, Arline Reed.

I will always remember his cowboy boots and shorts, I met Reedo while working part time for Willocrest farms, Reedo was always fun to talk with and also to have lunch with from time to time at the Yankee Clipper, he was a great person and will be missed by many.
