Marshall Shannon Obituary
Family and friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday (November 12, 2016) with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. Both will be held at Falvo Funeral Home, in Webster, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road (Route 250).
Memorial donations, in memory of Marty, may be made to the URMC Pulmonary Annual Fund, Box 278996, 300 East River Rd., Rochester, NY 14627.
A devoted husband and father, Marty was born September 24, 1937 and graduated from Ovid High, in 1956. He worked for Chrysler Credit Corp. for 26 years, retiring in 1994. For many years after retirement, Marty and his beloved wife of 48 years, Paulette, split their time between Sodus Point and Deland, Fla. An avid golfer, Marty enjoyed playing recreationally and helped to organize the annual golf tournament, for the Wolcott American Legion Post 881. He also had a great love of baseball, throughout his entire life.
Marty is survived by his loving children Marshall (Nan) Shannon, Michele (Tom) Brodnicki, Kristine (Carl) Schulte, James (Deb) Shannon; grandchildren Selina (Jason), Ian, Taryn, Marshall, Christopher, Aaron, Margarete; great-grandchildren Makayla, Samantha, Skylar, Matthew, Caleb; siblings Sally Smith, Jean (Elwyn) Ayers, Robert (Carol) Shannon; in-laws Jim, Jane, Janet, Myla; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Marty will be deeply missed.
Predeceased by his wife, Paulette.
