Michael Worden Obituary
The Worden family would like to receive friends of Mike at a reception to be held Sunday (Sept. 11) from 2 to 4 p.m., at then Lakeside Country Club, 100 East Lake Road in Penn Yan.
There will be a private burial with the family in attendance.
Mike was born August 12, 1945 in Penn Yan at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital to Edwin H. and Suzanne J. Worden of Penn Yan.
Mike was a builder and independent business owner for a great majority of his life and was known for the high quality of his work and his unique independent life. He made all he worked for and his friends laugh and have a positive experience just being in his presence. Mike will be missed by many and loved always by those that called him a friend. Mike was a very loving and caring father to his daughter, Katy who, as he said, "Was the greatest experience he ever enjoyed in his life."
He is survived by his father, Edwin H. Worden; his loving daughter, Katherine "Katy" Worden; nephew, Jessie Worden, his uncle, Miles M. "Tubby" Worden; sister-in-law, Mrs. Stephen Worden; and Katy's mother, Lisa Gray.
His only brother, Steve; and his mother, Suzanne predeceased Michael.
Mike's family encourages all his friends to visit with them at the Country Club on Sunday, September 11th from 2 to 4 p.m. Dress is casual.
