Steven Johnson Obituary
A memorial service will be held on Saturday (December 15), at 2:00 p.m. at Second Milo Baptist Church, Penn Yan, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Steven's Hope care of Penn Star Bank, P.O. Box 177, Great Bend, PA 18821 for glioblastoma, cancerous brain tumor, research.
Steven was active in youth groups. He assisted other children in need and senior citizens. He was a civil rights activist. Steven was self taught in sign language, Japanese, Russian, French, and German. He loved to travel and explore. He was an excellent cook, was willing to try something new, and always sought out ways to meet the needs of other people.

Steven is survived by his mother, Elizabeth and Roger Allard; his
father, Paul and Barbara Johnson Jr.; two brothers, Mitch and Sarah Johnson and Tad Johnson; great-grandmother, Helen Jensen; two grandmothers, Althea Race and Patricia Andrews; grandfather, Frank Presher; one niece, Rogue Johnson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.

12 years. 1 dozen, I can't believe you have been gone from my arms for that long. I continue to wait for your calls or walk through the door. I still live in that world where you are Baby. 9yrs! It's been 9 years. Where is the time gone. I'm 9 yrs closer to you. Not a day goes by that I don't miss you Baby. I can't believe this time has passed so fast it only seems like yesterday that you left this world. I wish I could call you and chat for hours like we use to. I want to tell you so much. I want to tell you I named my new puppy Eris Nightingale for you Baby. She is beautiful like you. I love you so much and I miss you like crazy.

Its been 8 years? Wow! I have been missing you so much. I often ponder what could have been if you were still here. On one end, I'm so glad you don't have to see this horrible world we live in. On the other hand, I'd do anything to have you here to spend the days together, laughing, crying, getting angry, and just loving this world and each other. EVERY SINGLE DAY. and I mean this, every day, I say to myself one lil phrase that you showed me how to do. "STOP AND SMELL THE FLOWERS". I enjoy life now and its because you taught me how. I miss you very much.

Here we are 5 yrs without you. It seems only like yesterday we were making snow Angels in the yard as our first snow of 2012 was upon us. It is snowing here today and all I can think about is you. I miss you as much today as the day you got your wings of gold Baby. I love you so very much.

I miss you so much Steven. But every time I feel like crying, I look at that picture of you with the moose ears, and I just can't help but smile. Still, I cry, still, I miss you. What I wouldn't give for just a few more minutes together. For one more visit. You had so much more life to live. I came into this world with the title of cousin as my relation to you, but as soon as you held me, I was your sister. We are/were siblings. Switching the brother and sister roles depending on the day and mood. I'm gonna miss you and your smile. I'm gonna miss our "dates". I love you so much and miss you terribly. It's now December 19th/2012. Steven, my soulmate, my friend, my key holder of my heart....I miss you daily. I haven't gone a day without crying over you at least 3 or more times. You are one of my kids. I miss you but I will never forget that smile, how you could make me laugh when I was having a bad or how you would scare me hiding out in my basement on your dad. Hey kiddo...I still remember that 13 year old who came running into my office...you know the story. I remember the young man you grew into and the way that you were always able to pick yourself up and keep it moving no matter the barrier. I will miss you.
