William Wormuth Obituary
Bill was born in Windsor, N.Y. on December 20, 1933. He was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy. Bill married Barbara R Beyer on June 23 1956, making Penn Yan N.Y. their life long home. He served in the US Army, both Active Duty and Reserve, from 1956 to 1962.
Bill was a past employee of Penn Yan Municipal and retired from the United States Post Service after 27 years of service. He was a life time member of the Sheldon Hose Company in the Penn Yan fire department. He served as the president of the senior citizen group at Penn Yan Moose Lodge . Bill also volunteered at the Yates County Office of the Aging .He enjoyed calling bingo, loved hunting and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Bill loved being around people.
Bill is survived by his sons, William (Teresa) Wormuth Jr., John (Stacy) Wormuth, and Keith Wormuth; grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Daniel (Colleen) Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Matthew (Angelika) Wormuth, and Cara (Jack) Glake; and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother David Wormuth of Dover Del.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Delores Wormuth Egbert, and his loving wife Barbara of 53 years.
Friends and family may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, (January 29) at the Townsend Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Office of the Aging, 417 Liberty St., Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527.

Bill was such a sweet man. He visited me often when I worked at OFA. He enjoyed talking and was proud to have served his country. He was proud of his sons and their lived. Will miss you Bill. RIP.
