ANTHONY LILLO Obituary

ANTHONY "TONY" L. LILLO, 73, of Fort Wayne, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, in Fort Wayne. He also loved being at Lake Gage during the summer, walking the beaches in Florida during the winter and following IU basketball and Clevland Indians games . Tony is survived by his wife of 22 years, Joyce Lillo; son, Jason Lillo; stepdaughters, Stacie (Scott) Woodard and Carrie (Travis) Stone; stepmother, Donna Lillo; stepsiblings, Randy (Rea) Fluttrow and Lora (John) Suhrweier; and grandchildren, Carter Lillo and Walter Lillo. We lost a good one here. Tony was the most vibrant, energetic guy I knew. Just glad I knew him when and was able to spend some time with him. Goodbye old friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. Tony's band played for my sister and brother-in-law's wedding way back in 1969, which also happened to be my 10th birthday. He invited me on the stage and the band played me a birthday song, and he was so sweet to me that I have never forgotten it. Tony remained a friend to my brother-in-law and brother for many years, and even though I would move away and go on a little musical journey of my own, I never forgot how special Tony made a shy little girl feel all those years ago. Thanks for that memory, Tony. I never really knew you, but I won't forget you.
