My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I graduated with Dave in 1976 and will always remember his laugh and quick wit. Dave always took time to make you laugh-you have to be very proud. He will be truly missed!!

It was such a shock to hear of Dave's death. I am truly sorry I was unable to attend the class reunion and see him. My prayers are with all of his family.
Reading the guest book entries brought back many memories; even after 30 years I can still hear Dave's laugh. We had so many fun times in high school. I am thankful for the time we had with him and know that he is now with our classmates who have gone ahead of us to their heavenly home.

Just a note for all of David's dear friends - as you know - David loved his faith, family and friends. At his visitation - I heard only good things - about his love and willingness to serve. I am extremely proud of him - and know that he is surrounded by the love of his heavenly father..his mom

It was a major surprise another classmate called me this morning and told me of Dave's death. It was good that we had the time together at our recent class reunion.
For many of us, this is a time of mourning. For the redeemed child of God, it is a time of rejoicing in the fact that Dave is with the Lord, resting safely in the arms of our Lord and Savior. His battle in this life is over and he can now rest safely in heaven above. Indeed, we all look forward to that day when we all will be re-united with those saints who have gone before us.
Our prayers are with the family and all friends at this hour of grief, resting in the sure and certain knowledge of our salvation in Christ our Lord.

Dave was quick with his wit and his feet. [He was the Holy Cross Jr. High 100 yd. dash record holder.] I too, enjoyed his laugh and had a chance to experience it again at our 30 year class reunion just a few short weeks ago. The funniest part of that evening was when Cheryl [Bruick] and Shelly [Bredmeyer] reminded Dave of a badminton match and the anatomical landing location of the birdie on a vicious slam by Shelly. What fun...he will be missed.

Dear Mary, Sherm and Family, A rush of memories from the 70's come to my mind. We were raising our kids and (struggling with all the issues we as single parents had at that time) You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Remebering David as just "David" is not possible. There was the whole gang, my sister Nancy, Keith, Bruick, the whole bunch, all full of laughter and fun. Never a dull moment.
David was blest with a wonderful Mom, sister, and brother...knowing them is knowing where David's humor and zeal for life has come from. In them, and with our memories David will continue in our hearts.
In my prayers are pleas for strength and comfort for David's family, for understanding, for peace.

I can't tell you how much I love Dave and his family. We had so many good times and fun memories throughout our Concordia and Valpo years. I will never forget Dave's laugh and sense of humor, the good times we had will always hold a special place in my heart. I feel extremely lucky that I had such a wonderful relationship with Dave, Mary, Martin and especially Jayne. My love, peace and prayers go out to you all!

Dave was usually the center of the fun in high school. He made many happy, laughing memories for us, his classmates. He probably had more senior pictures in the yearbook than anyone in the history of Concordia. He loved his work at Ohio State. He was loyal and generous, and told a good story. My sympathy to Mark, Mary, Martin, and Jane.

I've known Dave since 1972 when we were freshmen at Concordia Lutheran High School. He was a fun guy to hang around with and a smart dresser. We shared some good times as entertainers in the vocal group of the Concordia Swingers. I feel honored to have known him and will miss the humor he so easily shared.
