EILEEN L. FREDERICK, 88, of Monroeville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Adams Heritage where she had been a resident for three years. Born March 24, 1928 in Allen County, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Pauline (Boerger) Scherer. She married Howard G. Frederick on Sept. 30, 1950 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1999. She was employed with Back 40 Junction in Decatur for 25 years. Eileen was a member at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling, and American Legion Post 420 Auxiliary. She is survived by daughters, Beth (Daniel) Will of Monroeville, Ind. and Sara (Terry) Kidd ofNew Haven, Ind.; son, Kent Frederick of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, Amy (John) Rose, Adrienne (Aaron) Warren, Adam (Kristin) Will, Austin (Sarah) Will, Allison (Michael) Turcovsky, Alex (Taylor) Will, Laurie Frederick, Emily (Joshua) Simmons, Ryan Frederick, Daniel (Megan) Kidd, Asheley (Robert) Sefranka, Madelynn Kidd, Molly Kidd; 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Melvin, Lloyd, Raymond, Robert, and Wilfred Scherer; and one sister, Vera Scherer. Service is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Martin Moehring officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville. Burial at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Fuelling in Decatur.
