Dear Patsy and family, I will remember Jim today in my Mass at 5:30 this evening. A wonderful guy and great professional. I can still remember him telling me (when about to remove a wisdom tooth), you will only feel pressure, no pain! That was under a local. The next time he removed a wisdom tooth, I got the shot in the arm!! It had to be a fine line between pressure and pain, I told him. He just laughed. And then knocked me out.

Dear Family,
I will always remember Dr. Dumas. We broke ground years ago with the type of surgery that was performed. He changed my life forever.

When we arrived in Fort Wayne 22 years ago, Jim was right there to welcome me and my family. When I left a group practice to start on my own, he was right there to encourage me as he had a similar experience. Like a Dad, he said don't worry, it would be great, and he was right!
Jim retired the first time about 4 years ago. That lasted about a week. He started a new practice in our building. He worked almost to the end just like I would like to do. He took such good care of his patients and my family. What a role model.
Jim's charm, wit, and caring will be so missed by us and the whole community. God be with you always Jim! Hope to see you again right after I retire!

My condolences to the Dumas family. Jim was one of those classmates that never forgot where he came from and always kept in touch with his High School. He was a generous man and well liked. One of the "good" guys I remember and missed.
I'm sure he is now getting his due reward.......God Bless.
