John Eifrid Obituary

John Henry Eifrid, 85, passed away at Celebrate Nursing Home on Apr 28, 2025, He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on November 13, 1939, a son of the late Michael and Bertha Eifrid.

After high school he joined the United States Army in 1959 and was issued an honorable discharged in 1962, he then joined the United States Airforce in 1963 and was issued an honorable discharge in 1968. After his service to our country John worked in the clerical office for the United State Post Office until his retirement.

John was someone that loved peacefulness and time to himself, he often enjoying watching movies and television.

He is survived by one brother Ronald (Cheryl) Eifrid Fort Wayne, IN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 3 sisters

Calling hours will be held Wednesday May 7th, 2025 from 11 am-1 pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home.

Entombment will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens with military honors in service of our country
