Diane and family,
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Tom with his infectious laugh and entertaining stories will be sadly missed.
Even though we lived miles apart, Uncle Tommy, to me, was always bigger than life. One of my first memories is of Uncle Tommy saving me from a window that had closed and trapped me with half my body out the window and the other half inside. After a little teasing of course, he heroically opened the window a freed one stuck and frightened little girl.
As a young adolescent Tommy was there with a kind offer to let me come and spend my college days at Perdue and stay with him. I never accepted the offer, but always appreciated his generosity.
Fast forward to the many memorable trips to Boston, our recent time together at Gettysburg, stories shared and quiet conversations during a "smoke" and it becomes obvious that his passing leaves a big hole.
I will always be grateful for his hard work in assembling the book of our family genealogy. It gave my sons a clear look at their roots and will serve as a valuable resource for generations to come.
With love and sympathy - Linda

Diane, Brian, Brendan, Rob, Dan, Mike, and all family members,
I'm heartbroken over the passing of Uncle Tom. Not only was a close family member lost, but also a man of immense character. His distinctive laugh will remain in my ears and our times together will be kept in my heart. Ft. Wayne was always a destination anytime our family traveled outside New England, and the Halletts made their share of trips back east. Even after the ‘cousins' grew too old for family vacations, Uncle Tom and Diane traveled to join us for times that were joyful and sad.
Uncle Tom was a Red Sox fan back when it cost only a few cents to sit in the bleacher and watch Ted Williams play. I remember the pleasure Uncle Tom felt when we toured Fenway Park and he stepped on the same left field once patrolled by Teddy Ballgame.
Please stay strong during this difficult time, and know you have many prayers coming your way from the City of Boston.
Best always,
Neil Regan
