Arthur Monteverde Obituary
DURHAM - Arthur F. Monteverde Sr., 95, of Palm Coast, Fla., died February 9, 2015, at his daughter's home in Durham.
Born June 6, 1919 in Hoboken, N.J., he was the son of Alexander and Mary (Burke) Monteverde.
He received his Bachelor's Degree from St. Peter's University in Jersey City, N.J. and his Master's Degree from Fordham University in New York, N.Y. He went on to teach math at Teaneck High School in New Jersey.
Arthur served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast, Fla. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He spent many years as a member of the Lions Club in New Jersey and Palm Coast, Fla.
Arthur was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Genevieve Harrison Monteverde who died November 26, 2014, and his son, Arthur F. Monteverde Jr. who died in October 2014.
Survivors include a son, Donald H. Monteverde and his wife Kim of Riegelsville, Pa.; a daughter, Jean Parsons and her husband John of Durham; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Monteverde of Plantation, Fla.; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no services in New Hampshire.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Lions Club.

So very shocked and sadden to hear this news ... Been praying for Arthur and his wife Genevieve every day for years and years.
And too to hear that their precious son Arthur also died.
Will still pray for them and comfort for their family I will miss talking to them from time to time.
