Muriel Witham Obituary
Muriel was born Sept. 1, 1924, in East Rochester, the daughter of the late William and Mary Frances (Witham) Gilmore.
Muriel was a graduate of Spaulding High School. She retired from General Electric Company in 1986. She enjoyed sewing and made more than 300 dresses to be shipped to Nicaragua. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and the Circle of Friends in East Rochester.
Members of her family include her daughter, Paula Stevens; grandson, Jim Stevens, and his wife, Falon; great-grandson, Chase Stevens; sister, Barbara (Gilmore) Crisp; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Norris Witham; brothers, William, Samuel, Robert, Arnold, and Richard; and sister, Peggy Raab.
Family and friends may visit from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jean Main officiating. Burial will be in New Cold Spring Cemetery, East Rochester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 24 Main St., East Rochester, NH 03868 or Riverside Rest Home, 275 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820. I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many wonderful memories of spending time at camp in Milton and how your mom would give all the cold corn on the cob to my mom. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
