Arthur Mey Obituary

Arthur "Hop" Wallace Mey, Jr., age 81, of Finksburg, died Wednesday, September 02, 2015, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

He was born October 10, 1933 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Evelyn Geraldine Johnston Mey and the late Arthur Wallace Mey, Sr.

He was the husband of Beverly Ann Franck Mey of Finksburg.

He was employed by Montgomery County Schools as an Electrical Inspector. He was a member of American Legion #282 of Woodsboro and a former member of the American Legion Post #223 in Sykesville, Sons of AM Vets, Thurmont #7 and Moose #1381 of Westminster, Fraternal Order of Eagles #1136 of Brunswick, Reisterstown Moose Lodge #1577.

Surviving in addition to his wife are son Paul A. Mey of Melbourne, Florida, daughter Brenda Lee Mey of VA., daughter Sereta Ann Sparkman of Fairfield, PA, Daughter Melinda Mullinix of Harrisburg, PA; son Brian Lee Mey of Ohio; son Timothy Scott Faust of Louisiana, devoted friend Brian Lee Buckman; brother of the late John Lewis Mey and the late Charles Mey. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents and a son the late Larry Eugene Mey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
