Joseph Downs Obituary
Infant Joseph Josiah Downs, 6 months, of Blue Ridge Acres, Harpers Ferry, W.Va., died Saturday, Nov. 28, at his home.
Born May 3, 1998, at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, he was a son of William David and Lea Ellen Layton Downs.
Surviving in addition to his parents are paternal grandparents, William Downs and wife Barbara of Oak Hill, W.Va., and Janet Coe of Harpers Ferry; maternal grandfather, Ebby Ramsburg of Frederick; one sister, Siabban Downs of Morgantown, W.Va., and three brothers, Noah Downs, William Downs and Phillip Humerick, all at home.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Silver Grove United Methodist Church, Chestnut Hill Road, Harpers Ferry, with the Rev. Van Marsceau officiating. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are by Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crisis Pregnancy Center, 45F Waverley Drive, Frederick, Md. 21702.
