Robyn Kobus Obituary

Lisa "Robyn" Kobus (nee Rich), 65, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Robyn was born on June 20, 1959, in Washington, D.C., to Ronald James Rich (deceased) and Frances Harriet Hisaoka (living).

Robyn led a life of service, marked by her deep love for family, animals, and community. She worked tirelessly in the service industry and as a senior caretaker, always prioritizing the needs of others. Her legacy is defined by her selflessness and commitment to helping people. Robyn and her husband, Brian, were passionate volunteers, frequently supporting veteran causes and community events.

Robyn is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Brian Kobus; her children, Ryan Lohr (Ryan Holzwarth) and grandson Theodore Ascher Holzwarth-Lohr, Kyle Lohr (Oz Abramovitz), and Hayley Lohr; and her stepdaughter Leah Neff (Miles Neff) and grandson Jacob Neff. She is also survived by her mother, Frances Hisaoka, and her siblings, Michael Rich and Harolyn Pambid.

Robyn had many passions that brought her joy. She loved spending time at the beach, gardening, and riding motorcycles around the country with her husband. She loved dogs, horses, and cooking, particularly enjoying dim sum and Maryland crabs. Above all, Robyn will be remembered for her giving spirit, love of family, and unwavering kindness.

Robyn was preceded in death by her father, Ronald James Rich, in 1975. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to K9s for Warriors, a cause close to her heart.

Reconnected with my High School friend in 2016 and it was like no time had passed. I'm forever grateful that our paths led us back to each other before Robyn had to leave on her next journey. I have faith that we will meet again.

Robyn was one of the best people I have ever known. Met her through my best friend 20 some years ago. She was sincere, kind, and strong. She was a caregiver for my mother, before she moved to Florida .For which I will always be grateful. The world was a better place with her presence.

It's so hard to believe that Robyn is gone now especially since she had such a strong & vibrant life force. Her fiery spark & zest for life will not be forgotten. She was a true warrior and a true friend to the end. Heartfelt sympathy for Brian & her family.
