Mrs. Sandra Biermann

1939 - 2013

Mrs. Sandra (Maloney) Biermann of Monrovia, MD died Friday September 20, 2013, with her family by her side.

Sandy was born in Washington DC on November 30, 1939 to the late Stephen and Phyllis Maloney. She graduated from high school in Silver Spring and worked for many years as a legal assistant.

Sandy was last employed by Baker Botts LLP in Washington until her retirement. She was an equestrian, a master gardener, and an avid reader, but her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family and friends.

Sandy is survived by her husband Leonard J. Biermann, son Mark Davis of Martinsburg, WV, daughter Lisa Spero of Bentonville, VA, stepson Ken Biermann and his wife Laura of North Andover, MA, and stepdaughter Patti Anastasia of Haverhill, MA. Also among her survivors are her brother Ronald Maloney and his wife Jody of Frederick, niece Cathy Storey, and grandchildren Christopher Spero, Samantha Harden, and Natalie, Emily and Haley Biermann.

Sandy was predeceased in death by her sister Linda Maloney, son Michael Davis, and nephew Stephen Maloney.

Family and friends may call 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, September 27, at Molesworth-Williams P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 12:30 p.m., Saturday, September 28 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 4103 Prices Distillery Road, Ijamsville, MD 21754.

Inurnment will be private.
