Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory - Crystal LakeGeorge W. Biermann, of Marengo, formerly of Elk Grove Village and Rolling Meadows, passed away surrounded by his beloved family on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the age of 65.
He was born October 8, 1960 in Arlington Heights, the son of the late George E. and Dorothy (Ferner) Biermann.
George was a 1978 graduate of Rolling Meadows High School. During the blizzard of 1979 he met his loving wife Pam and they married in 1981. Elk Grove Village, IL is where they chose to call home, start their family and raise their 3 beautiful children. George valued home, family, and hard work. His most cherished times in life were creating loving memories and watching his children grow up. George felt so much joy and love for his 6 wonderful grandchildren who helped make life feel complete and fulfilled.
George was a longtime employee of AT&T and proud IBEW Local 134 union member. He enjoyed working on telephone systems and keeping people connected.
George loved coaching many sports for his children. He also enjoyed fishing, camping with the family, and relaxing by the campfire.
His biggest passion was his love of classic cars and his Chevelles. Nothing made him happier than car shows, the drag strip, and working on cars with Jonathon.
In his high school years, George was the rhythm guitar player in the band Antigo, where he made lifelong friendships. A lover of music, he developed an encyclopedic knowledge of music trivia.
Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Brother-in-Law, Uncle and Friend to all. Easy to talk to, compassionate, would give you the shirt off his back. Unrivaled collection of corny dad jokes and sweatshirts. He was loved immensely and will be missed dearly.
Forever in our hearts and memories!
George is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pam; his children, Adam Biermann (Kuriakos), Sarah (Andrew) McCracken, and Jonathon (Brittany) Biermann; his grandchildren, Declan, Grant, Rowan, Piper, Tessa, and Tripp; his sisters, Kathy Rowley (Dave), Jill (Jerry) Lawson, and Tammy (George) Wood; his sisters-in-law, Jackie Biermann, Kerrie Biermann, Donna Haubner (Mark), Sandy (Dave) Stopka, and Denise Engwall; brother-in-law, Chuck Milbratz; his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and his canine companions, Sadie and Millie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Peggy Milbratz, Scott Biermann, and Thomas Biermann; and his mother-in-law Elizabeth Haubner.
A celebration of life open house will be held in George’s honor:
