Howard H. Johnson

Howard H. Johnson, 93, of Mineral died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at his daughter's residence in Mineral.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Johnson.

He is survived by two sons, Ellis S. Johnson and his wife, Margaret, of Spotsylvania County, and Irvin Johnson and his wife, Liz, of Louisa; three daughters, Catherine Waddy and her husband, Joe, of Spotsylvania, Bettie Downs and her husband, Bobby, and Shirley Jean Dooling, all of Mineral; one sister, Salma Hilburn of Naples, Fla.; four grandchildren, Bobby Ray Spicer, Joseph Waddy and Patricia and Deborah Johnson; and one great-grandchild, Jade Spicer.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, with the Rev. Hugh Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Mineral.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road, Suite 2, Charlottesville, Va. 22903.
