Ian Smith-Christmas Obituary

Ian K. Smith-Christmas

Ian Kramer Smith-Christmas, 21, of Stafford County died Monday, April 26, 2010.

Ian was on the Dean's List at the College of William and Mary and was Salutatorian for his graduating class at Brooke Point High School in 2007.

He was a life Scout with Troop 850 and an accomplished Scottish fiddler and violinist.

Ian was fluent in Russian and active in the environmental movement. He was very involved in historical programs and enjoyed world travel.

Ian had a passion for the outdoors and loved camping and hiking.

Ian was the son every parent dreamed of having.

Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Linda D. Smith-Christmas; his grandmother, Winnie Smith, of Lemont, Pa.; his sister, Cassandra Smith-Christmas, of Glasgow, Scotland; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Locust Shade Park, in Triangle, with the Rev. Jennie Barrington officiating. Interment will be private.

The family requests donations be made in Ian's name to the Sierra Club, 422 E. Franklin St., Richmond, Va. 23219.
