Ronald Ripper Obituary

Ronald Ripper

Ronald "Ron" Ripper, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025, surrounded by his family at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

Ron was born in St. Michael, PA. He built a fulfilling career as a Computer Specialist and, together with his beloved wife, made their home in Burke, VA, where they raised their two sons. After retiring, Ron and his wife settled in the Falls Run community in Fredericksburg. A devoted fan of the Washington Redskins and Nationals, Ron also had a deep love for music. He especially enjoyed playing the accordion and took great pride in performing once a month at the Friday Night Dances, bringing joy to his Falls Run neighbors with every note.

Survivors include his wife, Anita; sons, Ronald Ripper Jr. (Myoung) of Fairfax, VA, and Don Ripper (Maria) of Del Ray, VA; grandchildren, Hanna Mashinsky (Ido) and Nicholas Ripper of Prague, Czech Republic, and Lea and Sasha Ripper of Springfield, VA; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Mashinsky of Prague, Czech Republic; and many wonderful nieces and nephews from Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ann Ripper of St. Michael, PA; sister, MaryAnn Poldiak (Pete) of St. Michael, PA; brothers, John Ripper (Nora) of St. Michael, PA, Robert Ripper of Fayetteville, PA, and Edward Ripper (Pua) of Stafford.

We will all miss him terribly.
