Scott J. Booker
Scott James Booker, 44, of Fredericksburg died Friday, July 25, 2003, at Carriage Hill Nursing Center.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He served his country for ten years in the United States Marine Corps as a sergeant. He was also previously employed by Green Top Sporting Goods in Glen Allen.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Cheryl F. Booker; his father, Roland Booker of East Waterboro, Maine; six brothers, Ross Booker of Kansas and Raymond, Albert, Kenneth, Mark and Eric Booker, all of Maine; two sisters, Sherry Gammon of Maine and Kelly Daniels of Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two special dogs, Brandy and Jake.
The family will receive friends Monday beginning at noon at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Services will be held at the chapel at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Cecil McKinney and Deacon Maynard Lewis will officiate. Interment with military honors will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Raymond, Albert, Kenneth and Mark Booker, Joe Rothgeb, Jeff Hopkins, Kenny Bremner and Richard Ledbetter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Kidney Cancer Association, 1234 Sherman Ave., Evanston, Ill. 60202, or to the Spinal Cord Injury Association, 545 Concord Ave., Cambridge, Mass. 02138.
