I met Steve in school, we were in musicals, Madrigals and Maranatha together. I got to no him the most during a Spring musical "No, No, Nanette." We learned to tap dance together - he as Tom and I as Nanette. He was so great to work with and was always helping anyone that needed it. In recent years, he became our group the "besties" - he would check in with Val, Deb and I by text several times a week and we all had long conversations about life. He never changed - a helpful, kind and God loving person. The World is less bright without his light in it. I miss our group texts and I miss Steve. I know he is singing in a choir of Angels. You are our forever friend. May memories of him be a blessing to all who knew him - friends and family. Rest well, my friend.

Our sincerest condolences for your loss. We have known Steve since elementary school. Steve made an impact on everyone he talked to, and despite not seeing him for years, when we did get a chance to sit down and catch up, it was as if we had talked every day. He was a genuine and warm soul, and he will be missed. We will keep Steve in our memories and the family in our thoughts and prayers.

Steve and I shared many musical times together,as students and adults. His smile, that hearty laugh, and his beautiful baritone are missed here, but I'm sure he's keeping that heavenly choir in line!

The news of Steve's passing was so shocking and we were all unprepared for the loss of our friend. I met Steve in middle school at Gayle....we were in Chorus and Drama together. We grew up together in the same neighborhood, same church, same school and many of the same activities. Steve had a beautiful voice and it will be missed. He had a friendly and giving spirit; always willing to help and give support. I will miss him. Thankfully we rekindled our friendship a few years ago and I am so glad we had time to reminisce about our high school years and to catch up with current life events. Rest high on that mountain, Steve....save us a place in the chorus!
