Mr. Limbrick was one of a handful of teachers I've had in high school or college that had the ability to make you want to learn and made it fun. Photography was the best class ever taught at Armuchee. Learning how to gather wild plants and cooking them in Biology class was a valuable tool I still think about today. Mr. Harris teaching math and Mr. Shelnutt teaching English were right up there with Mr. Limbrick in my high school experience. I remember one man at Georgia Tech that taught Laser theory and application. I thought of Mr. Limbrick when he was talking to the class while using similar hands on teaching methods.

Didnt know Mr. Limbrick had passed. I can honestly say I stunk at Biology and Chemistry, but he made stinking at something fun. I will never forget how he used to peel an apple in class or raising fruit flies in a piece of carpet on the wall. Always had a funny way of getting someone's attention, "Ya'll Listen"

It was a great privilege to have known Chip over the years since school days in Fredericksburg. He was a very unique person with a great interest in all things and a terrific sense of humor! It is no wonder he was such a wonderful teacher. Bobby and I remember fondly our visit to his home in Armuchee. He and Ellen were so gracious and kind to us! We will greatly miss him.

Sincere condolences to the family. You are blessed to have had Chip in your life. Chip was one of the best and most dynamic teachers I've ever had. He cared and he challenged. I recall riding my bicycle around collecting plant specimens for one of his projects. My first concert was due to him. My first Chinese food was provided by him. I would sometimes visit his home while I was in college and very much regret not staying in touch. We all want to leave the world a better place. He actually did it. My degree is in Biology with a Chemistry minor....some thanks go to Chip.

Biology is the study of life. Mr. Limbrick taught us more than how to study life...but how to live it.

I was just talking about him to my daughter the other day. I had thistle in my yard and I told her about frying the thistle and making Rose petal cake and how much I loved that class and she looked at me and said "momma how many times are you going to tell that same story". He made class so fun to be there every day. He was a wonderful person and teacher. You will be in our thoughts and prayers and I pray that God will comfort you and keep you during this time. What a special person! It was my good fortune to have had this long time friend starting in our youth in Fredericksburg. We are saddened to lose Chip but it makes us want to think back to the good times, the funny times and the friendship that was so important. That gives us comfort.
One of Chip's lasting legacies is the positive influence he made on his many students.
He leaves a void in the lives of all those he touched. We will miss him.

Ellen and Family: I loved Chip so much. i had 40 years in Education and i often told many that the Best Teacher I ever knew was a Biology Teacher in Armuchee Georgia. I can just see the Mrs. WREN contest the last day before Christmas Break. He inspired his students more than anyone i have ever known. He was a great friend and had a tremendous personality. He made my three years at Armuchee High School 1979-1982 a joy that is a treasured memory. May God Bless You and Family. Byron Nix.

My life as an Educator was inspired by Mr. Limbrick. I graduated from Armuchee High in 1976. Mr. Limbrick was my Biology and Photography teacher. As a teacher I wanted to be just like him - I wanted his passion for life, his love for all students, his desire for all to do ones best, and more importantly his caring soul. He was my role model to reach lives through teaching. He has made a tremendous impact on thousands of lives! God used him well while he was on Earth. Prayers to his family and friends. Fly high my teacher!

Chip was a true life long friend - unique and special and leaves this world too soon - having added much to the lives of those he taught and those he knew throughout his life.
I have known Chip for nearly 70 years, growing up with him in Fredericksburg, roaming the neighborhoods and streets of Fredericksburg, visiting Chip and Ellen in Milledgeville nearly 60 years ago, and in Armuchee and Fredericksburg at various times since, and here in New Zealand once.
A true and special friend - and thoughts now and always are with Ellen, Allison, Laurie - and Ted and Vaughan.
The world is a better place for having Chip with us. And I am a better person for having him for a friend. He will be missed forever.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Great memories of Mr. Limbrick (Chip), although being and administrator and working with this genius had it's challenges. More fun playing poker outside work. I am planning on riding that Long Black Train someday. See you then.
