She was a Close Friend to our family. I remember her support when my father died. I last saw her at services for my family members. She was active with my Sunday School at St Cyprians. Always kind and loving just a good person, we were fortunate to have in our lives.

Dear Victor, We are sorry to learn of the death of your mother and our first cousin, Doris. It is with heavy hearts that we send our sincerest condolences to you. We lost two Johnson cousins this past week, your mom and our brother, Arnold. We will always cherish the good memories between your family and ours. Linda fondly remembers babysitting for you and Julie back in the day while your parents were at work. You are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless! Love always, Gerri, Barbara, Betty, Patricia and Linda.

Mrs. Hood was an elegant, sophisticated, beautiful and intelligent role model for me and many women. Women like her, paved the way for women like me.
For that I am eternally grateful.
Rest in peace.

Mrs. Doris Chenault-Hood was an articulate and intelligent lady that our family knew because of her family living next door to our uncle and aunt, Attorney Jesse & Elaine Williams. As we visited over the years from Tennessee, we shared their friendship as neighbors, keeping up with her through all of our life's passages. Doris will certainly be missed...Our condolences go out to her son Victor II, and the Hood Family. The Sherrod Family and Mary Elaine Williams.

I was blessed to know Doris Chenault Hood. I was impressed by her intellect. her friendly loving spirit, her kindness, and her openness. I met Doris many years ago at a house party where together we celebrated the 100th birthday of a dear mutual friend. I liked Doris immediately. Because she and Reverend Hood often showed their love to my daughter Elizabeth, my son-in-law Shaun, and my grandsons Jeremy and Joshua, I could not help being fond of Doris ,too. We were always genuinely glad to see each other even though it was not often. I am especially thankful for the time we spent together last year at Thanks
giving dinner at Shaun and Elizabeth's home where Doris told us she was very thankful for the blessing of memory. My sympathy and prayers are sent especially to Victor.
