Emily Olkowski Obituary
EMILY "JOYCE" Age 85, long time Dearborn resident, peacefully passed away on May 21, 2016. Joyce was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived there for many years before traveling the world and finally settling in Dearborn to raise her family, with her husband Leonard Olkowski, who pre-deceased her in 1981. Joyce served on the Dearborn City Council for more than 15 years and was dedicated to serve the citizens of Dearborn. Although she achieved many honors in her lifetime and earned several college degrees, among her proudest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren and great grandaughter, all who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her sister, Betty Johnson, her children Linda (Jeff) Radtke; Jerry (Sharon McCarthy) Olkowski; Susan Fairchild and Judy (Derrick) Gaffrey, her grandchildren: Jeffrey Radtke, Amber Briere, Connor Gillooly, Evan Gillooly, Megan Olkowski, Cooper Gaffrey and her great grandaughter Everleigh Day. The family will hold a private funeral service and burial.

We spent many happy hours with Leonard and Joyce over the years. Our condolences go to Linda, Jerry, Susie and Judy. Joyce was our realtor when we purchased our house. I enjoyed greeting her at the parades and public events. We had many great conversations. Prayers to you all.
