Thomas Dowdy Obituary
South Lyon - Thomas Dowdy, age 85, born December 28th 1934 and passed away July 13th 2020 in his home in South Lyon. He was the much loved husband of his late wife Marilyn of 64 yrs. Tom is survived by his three sons Ron his wife Kris, Tom and Carey and Grandchildren Lindsay, Clint, Tyler and Tom.
Tom retired from the International UAW Ford Dept as Assistant Director in 1987 after 30 years of service, a benefit he secured for the workers. That was just one of many benefits he secured for the hourly workers of Ford during his tenure with the UAW. Tom was forever the crusader of the working man during his years with the UAW.
Tom and his lovely wife Marilyn retired and moved to Sebring Florida in 1987 after retiring to relax and play lots of golf which they loved. He was well respected and loved by the community, a truly admirable trait. He was a charitable man helping many who crossed his path during his lifetime.
He will be sorely missed! May he rest in peace!

Condolences to the Dowdy's on the passing of their father.
He was a man who obviously worked for the betterment of his fellow workers in the UAW. He left a legacy for others to follow.
