Sharon E. Arp

Sharon E. Arp, age 78, of Fremont passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at Methodist Fremont Health after an extended battle with COPD.
Sharon was born on April 13, 1943, to Melvin and Irma (Nelson) Rosenbaum of Kennard. Sharon attended school in Kennard through the 11th grade before graduating from Blair High School in 1961. She married Vernon Arp, they resided on the family farm, to which this union were born four children.
Sharon worked as a farm wife while driving the Arlington School Bus. Sharon worked as a bartender at the Arlington V.F.W. and the Lemon Tree in Fremont. She also worked at Korbelik Foot Clinic for several years. Sharon volunteered as a 4-H leader for many years in Washington County.
She was a member of the Kennard Grace United Methodist Church where she enjoyed helping with the yearly Fall Bazaar. Sharon enjoyed going to water aerobics and coffee with her friends.
Memorials may be directed to the Fremont Aquatic Center or Kennard Grace United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by parents; stepfather, Harlan Christensen; husband, Vernon; brother, Bill Rosenbaum; son-in-law, Scott Hiatt; brother and sister-in-law, Everett and Irma Holstein.
She is survived by her children, Kaylene (Jeff) Heck of Omaha, Kevin (Pam) Arp of Kennard, Koni (Les) Shallberg of Fremont, Kerri (Scott McNeese) Hiatt of Lincoln; grandchildren, Justin Stahlecker, Scott (Andrea) Stahlecker, Jacob (Jessica) Heck, Jayson Heck, Aaron (Laura) Arp, Amanda (Andrew) Lowe, Andrea (Jared) Cape, McKenna (Chris) Angerhofer, Gavin (Brooke) Shallberg, Kinley Shallberg, Hadley Hiatt, Cody McNeese; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 29, at Dugan Funeral Chapel from 5-7 p.m.
The memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 30, at Dugan Funeral Chapel at 10:30 a.m.
Private burial will take place at the Kennard Cemetery.
