August 24, 1935 - September 7, 2023
Fresno, California - Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, Jacqueline Smith Jeffers passed away on Sept. 9, 2023 at her home in Fresno. She was 88.
A single, working mother, she worked for more than 50 years for Appleby & Co., starting in 1961 not long after its founding as a private investigator, helping build it to the successful enterprise it is today. A lifelong Fresnan, Jackie attended St. Therese Catholic School, Hamilton Junior High, Fresno High School and Fresno State.
She was a devoted friend who enjoyed trips, dinners out, and much fun and laughter with her large group of girlfriends, many of whom she knew since high school.
Jackie was preceded in death by her sons, John and Robert Jeffers. She is survived by her daughter Michelle Jeffers (Felder) and her grandchildren, Jeremy Martin, Madeleine Felder and Jack Felder.
Visitation and rosary, Monday Sept. 18, 4 p.m. at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns and Blair; Funeral mass Tuesday Sept. 19, 10 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church.

My deepest condolences to Jackie´s family. I have known Jackie for many years she was my sister Mary Kachadoorian´s friend. Jackie was so sweet. She always had a smile on her face and never a bad word about anyone. She was generous and kind. She will always be remembered by those of us who knew her and loved her. God bless her soul.
