I worked with Jean in La Jolla, and delighted in her energy, spunk and competence. We lost contact when she moved back to Fresno, and I'm sorry to say that it is only today that I decided to track her down -- too late. I am 81, and considering all the people I know/have known, Jean was special to me. I will not forget her, and am glad she has a large family to continue celebrating her.

I knew Jean as an irrepressible force of nature who invited others to join her in a life of love and service. I can't think of her without smiling and am so thankful for all her encouragement in my life. I will greatly miss her and always remember her.

I remember that Jean was the first person to interview me and offer me my first real step into the professional world after college. I appreciated her humor, her giving heart, and her beautiful garden. My heart goes out to her family with her loss.
