MOLLY MAKINS KIPP
Molly Makins Kipp has taken the last step of her journey here on earth and her first step toward her new incredible adventure in Heaven, where she now joins her dad. Molly passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, and was born in Yakina, WA, on January 25, 1955, to Dr. E.V. (Ted Makins) and Margaret Mary Beauchene Makins. We begin the celebration of her life by remembering the things she brought to so many. Molly's passion, enthusiasm, loyalty and zest for life were an inspiration to her family and the multitude of friends who had the good fortune of knowing her. Early in her life Molly visited Europe where the travel bug took hold. In her twenties she opened and operated a travel agency in Yakima, WA. While working in the travel industry she traveled extensively and her enthusiasm for exploration inspired many of her customers to do the same. Molly and her husband Marshall enjoyed many adventures together. Their trips to Venice and Vatulele, where they were married were always very special to her. The entire family enjoyed many wonderful travels together including trips to Porta Vallarta, HI, and the Caribbean as recent as this past Christmas. Molly has been a nurturing mother to her son Chap; and three stepchildren Kevin, Dennis, and Cassidy. She was eagerly involved in their many activities. She loved all the football games that her son Chap enjoyed playing in. She was always excited about spicing up school functions with her creative style. She was very proud to be the mother of four and the coordinator of all! Her giving nature was realized to all of those less fortunate and in her spare time she was an advo- cate for abused children working through the Casa organization. Molly's home was a gathering place for friends from all over. Her home was always full of joy and laughter, a place where her many friends were always welcome. Molly's impact on those she knew and shared her life with is demonstrated by the thousands of e-mails she and her family received during the course of her illness. Molly's zest for life will continue in her husband Marshall; her son Chap; her stepchildren Kevin, Dennis, and Cassidy; her mother, Margaret Mary; and stepfather, Alfred Coppers; her brothers Pat and John; her sister-in-law Jerrilyn; her sister, Meg Irwin and her husband Dave; sister, Monica Makins; stepbrother, John Coppers; her stepsister, Jean McKenna and her husband Chris; her many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 600 N. Church St., Visalia, CA, on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will be held following the services, at the St. Mary's Parish Hall. A Memorial Service will be held in Yakima, WA, at a future date. The family requests that remembrances be made to the American Cancer Society. sig, miller MILLER MEMORIAL CHAPELVisalia, CA (559)732-8371
