Daddy, We all miss you so much! Before you left us, God gave me the opportunity to
witness the love you and Mom shared! Wow! I am so thankful for that! I can truly understand why Mom misses you so much! I have endless amounts of memories that I will always cherish and hold close to my heart! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you or see in the eyes of my brothers, my sister and your grandchildren! Ayi Dad, You and your jokes! You always had people laughing because you believed in bringing "laughter"into people lives! You definitely succeeded there! The memorable days that you and DonJuan took Lucy and I to the old Figarden store on the back of the pick-up and bought us whatever we wanted were one of the best. You were such a hard-working man that always looked out for his family! You have taught us to be hard-working individuals who were never to take advantage of our jobs nor our bosses!Dad, going to the horse races will never be the same! How I enjoyed seeing your eyes light up when we talked about the Fresno Fair beginning. You even got Mom hooked on the races! I cherished those days days taking you and Mom there!I'm so grateful to God for those days! I love you Dad! I know you are with God, mi abuelita, your sister Josefina and of course your 1st born son Ray, watching over us, your family...still!

Dad, aka Deddy...we miss you so much and we will always cherish the fun loving memories you gave us. You taught us to enjoy life, family, music and dancing. You also taught us to laugh a lot, especially with the nicknames you gave us and almost everyone we know. Most importantly, you taught us to love, support one another, be open, honest, and to treat everyone with respect. Your birthday/Halloween—will never be the same without you, but it will always hold a very special place in our hearts! As for Mom, she misses you so much!! But we will continue to take care of her for you. Afterall, she is your “Popocha”, your “Popies”. Con mucho carino, te queremos mucho…. Deddy!! Tu hija, Josie, Jorgito y Ricardo.

Niño you are already missed. He was one of my best dancing partners when there was an occasion. He had one of the best smiles. My dad and my niño both up in heaven together - God has his hands full! My husband felt blessed that he was able to meet him. Niño will always be in our prayers. RIP

What I admired the most about our father was his work ethic, his integrity and his sense of humor.
Our father was a good provider. Our family was very poor when I was very young. I remember that our daily menu consisted primarily of chorizo and eggs, beans and avena, the latter which was a kind of porridge. The point is that we always had food to eat and a roof over our heads. Our father was a hard worker and was always working. I cannot recall a day that he missed work. To him, there was no substitute for hard work. This is a lesson he passed on to us.
Another lesson he passed on to us was integrity. Our father was an honest man, a trait he made sure to instill in all his children. I saw this time and time again through his actions and his words.
Those who knew my father well knew he had a quick with a sense of humor. He loved to give funny and cute nicknames which he did to all his children and grandchildren. He always managed to make us laugh with his clever remarks. He continued to do so until the last week of his life when he was no longer able to speak.
To us, our father was a great man, and we were proud to be his children. The lessons he taught us are the same lessons I have attempted to pass on to my own children. I have 3 adult daughters. The advice I have always given my daughters on selecting a husband is to select one who is honest and hardworking. The reason is because these are the traits I saw in my father. I can think of no better tribute to him.
Although we will miss him tremendously, we know that our father is up in heaven now. We also know that our brother Ray will be looking out after him.
