SUSAN DAVIS Obituary

Susan Diane Davis, age 61, of Marysville, WA, fought the good fight with breast cancer for over 20 years, and passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on September 28, 1956, in San Luis Obispo, CA, grew up in Fresno, CA, and graduated from Fresno High School in 1974. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, in 1978, and was a Registered Dietician. Susan later achieved her Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Fresno, and, more recently, her Registered Nursing degree from Everett Community College, while battling cancer. Susan was an accomplished cook, knitter and spinner, receiving numerous awards for her beautiful garments. She taught classes on knitting and spinning, volunteered at local schools to introduce young people to the arts. She was an avid reader and loved to travel, having visited many places in the United States and Europe. She married the love of her life, Alan Davis, whom she met at People's Church, on September 16, 1989. She is survived by her husband; their daughter Taylor; her parents, Darol and Mellie Lloyd; sisters, Carolyn Knod, and Kristi Garcia, and countless friends. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fresno area at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing but glad to know she is no longer in pain.
I met Susan through our spinning group and volunteered with her at a local school teaching kids different fiber arts.
I loved seeing her bright smile and loved her quick humor. She always made me laugh.
I will miss her so much.

I am so sorry to hear about Susan's passing. She was a joy to spin with and had such good ideas. And her hair was always great! Loved the spikes!

I had been thinking about her just recently. She will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to learn of Susan's death & your loss. Susan was a fellow Dietitian that I always enjoyed corresponding with when our path's crossed. I have wondered about her in the recent past. Knowing that Susan is at peace & pain free, I wish the same for her family, especially husband & daughter.
