Ronald J. Fausset, 83, of Frankfort, died April 5, 2024 at I.U. Arnett Hospital, Frankfort, Ind. He was born July 8, 1940 in Lebanon, Ind. to Jean F. and Mary Ellen (McKinney) Fausset. He married Connie Kallner in Spencer, Ind. on December 1, 1984 and she survives.
Ron was a 1958 graduate of Kirklin High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from July 1958-March 1977, serving in the Cuba Missile Crisis and Vietnam. He was correctional sergeant, working for the Indiana Department of Corrections, Putnamville Correctional facility in Greencastle, Indiana, retiring in December of 2005 after 20 years. Ron was of the Christian faith. His memberships include; Kirklin American Legion Post 310, where he was past commander, lifetime member of the VFW, Lebanon Post 910, Fleet Reserve Association and was a member of the Clinton County Honor Guard. Ron enjoyed fishing and computer maintenance.
Ron is survived by his wife: Connie Fausset of Frankfort, son: Douglas R. Fausset of Akron, OH, daughter: Kristina F. Fausset of Akron, OH, brothers: David L. (Paula) Fausset of Little River, SC and Larry D. (Madeline) Fausset of Cocoa, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Fausset.
Family graveside service with burial in Green Lawn Cemetery will be held at a later date with Military Honors. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Honor Guard.
