Doris Sims Obituary
Mrs. Sims was the owner of The Old Country Store/Tinker's Treasures and after closing became a police dispatcher for the city of Glencoe. She was a graduate of Glencoe High School and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Bell Adkins; stepfather, Leroy Adkins; sisters, Peggy Adkins and Trixie Adkins; and brother, Jimmy Anderson.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, William (W.O.) Sims; daughter, Christie (Michael) Brown; son, Dwight (Tracy) Sims; grandchildren, Robert McCleery, Lauren Sims, Christian Brown and Cameron Sims; brothers, Wayne and Bill Adkins; sister, Jean Anderson; and special sister-in-law, Judy Sims.
Pallbearers will be Roger Sims, Chris Sims, Michael Brown, Tommy Adkins, Danny Wagnon and Johnny Chambers.
Special thanks to Dr. Courtney Lowe and staff, Hospice of Marshall County and third-floor staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
