Randall Barber Obituary

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Randall (Randy) Harold Barber, 68, of Glencoe, who passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019. Brother David Denson and Pastor Thom Harrison will officiate. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of services.
Randy was of the Baptist faith and a member of North Glencoe Baptist Church. Randy was an avid fisherman all his life, some of his most enjoyable moments were spent fishing with his sons, his brothers, grandchildren and his friends. He loved Alabama football. He also loved his Men's Sunday School Class at North Glencoe Baptist Church. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with them. He was the owner of JB&M Plumbing for over 25 years where he was known for his kindness, compassion and love for others.
He is preceded in death by his father, ED Barber; step-father, Ken Lyda and his beloved son, Michael Caine Barber.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Huff Barber; sons, Benjamin Lane Huff (Donna), Jacob Scott Barber; grandchildren, Noah, Eli, Lucas Huff, Jayce, Aubrey, Dottie Barber; mother, Dorothy Lyda; brothers, Mike (Judy) Barber, Greg (Cynthia) Barber, Gary (Deborah) Barber, and Jeff (Stacy) Barber; sister-in-law, Angelia Davis; God-given children, Jamie Woodard (Teresa), Tam, Bui, Tamvo, E Tran, (Kim), God-given grandchildren, Tung, Juliane Vo, Anchi, Anlam, Tran, Brandy Blackwell, Lincoln Nguyen; Special "Sister" to Ben, Michael and Jay-Amy (Barber) Moman, a host of special nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be sons, grandsons, brothers, Frank Luallen, Dallas McElroy, Gary Conway, Boykin Kennedy, Joe Cothran, Ken Lankford, Mark Reeves and Kenneth McClellan, (fishing buddy in Heaven Harold McClellan) and men's Sunday School at North Glencoe Baptist Church.
Special thanks to Alacare nurses/staff, Jennifer, Janelle, Jenna, Jenny and Bridgette and Dr. Deborah Reiland and staff.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to North Glencoe Baptist Church Building Fund.
The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
