Sue Blackburn Obituary
We as her children are so thankful and blessed for the good times and good memories we have had with our mother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lillian Bowman; daughters, Kimberly Stephens and Belinda Blackburn; and granddaughter, Madison Wood.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Blackburn; son, Jeff (Kristy) Stephens; daughters, Suzie (Garry) Shirley and Gina (Shane) Wood; chosen daughter, Sheilda Stephens; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special friends, Sherron Childress and Norma Jean Fortenberry.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and Nelson Childress.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the CCU at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Noccalula Church of God, 1209 Noccalula Road, Gadsden, AL 35904.
The family will receive friends from noon to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Dale and Children, Susie was so loved by my family, uncle Wilson and Aunt Evelyn, Jane, Charles, and Brenda. I only found out about Susie on FB the arrangements were being written by Jeff. I could not find them. Dale I would have stood with you.

Dale and children,so sorry to hear of Sue Lynn passing. She was a friend from way back. Remember her being mascot for Etowah band back in early 50's she was so cute in her little uniform. Prayers for all the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Sue Lynn's passing and was shocked. She was one sweet and beautiful lady. I met her, and we talked like we had been friends forever. I know this is going to be such a great loss for your family. My prayers are with all of you.
