John Miller Bolin, 75, of 2389 Irene Bridge Hwy., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was the loving husband to Alene R. Bolin and son of the late Paul and Mable Bolin.
He was a devout Christian, serving his church, Unity Baptist, as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger. An electrician by trade, he enjoyed fishing, camping, playing with his grandkids and watching his grandkids play baseball.
Left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife are daughters Tammy D. Blackwood (Robert), Audra P. Dawkins (Bryan), Rebekah B. Hullender (Bryan), grandchildren Ashley Blackwood, Aaron Dawkins (Caroline), Michael Blackwood, Phillip Dawkins (Breanna), Maggie Hullender, Elizabeth Dawkins, Isaac Hullender, Caleb Hullender, honorary grandchild River Stalls, and great grandchild Waylon Dawkins. His siblings Connie Hulett, James Bolin, Art Bolin, Mary Sue Allison and Nancy Coughlin.
He was preceded in death by his sons John M. Bolin Jr. (Tracy) and Joey A. Bolin, brothers David Bolin, Max Bolin, Bill Bolin and a sister Ellen Davis.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 5 - 7 pm at Unity Baptist Church and a Celebration of Life Service, Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2 pm at Unity Baptist Church. Officiating the service are Revs. Alan Peeler, Keith Martin and Eddie Bolin. Pallbearers serving are Aaron Dawkins, Michael Blackwood, Phillip Dawkins, Isaac Hullender, Caleb Hullender, Stephen Stalls and Eric Whitaker.
