Charles Kevin Byers, 41, Dunn, passed away peacefully in his sleep on 7/19/2014 due to complications of diabetes.

Born February 20, 1973 at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL, to Richard and Judy (Horton) Byers. At a young age Kevin soon began traveling to places such as the American Samoa, New Zealand, and living in Woomera, Australia for two years. Returning to Florida in 1978, he attended Crestview schools and went on to graduate from Crestview High School in 1990. He moved to North Carolina soon after graduation, living in Raleigh, Garner, and Wade, before settling in Dunn, where he ran a painting business and raised his children. Kevin enjoyed golfing, muddin', and fishing. But most of all he loved his children and was devastated when they were taken away.

He is survived by his children, Brianna and Waylon Byers, parents Richard Byers and Judy Byers, brothers Richard, Brad and James, sister Crystal, nephews Daniel Macaulay and John Byers, nieces Jade, Victoria, Elizabeth, Alexandra and Alicia Byers. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. All of which loved him and will miss him greatly. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Melissa Morris Fox.
