My wife Mary taught with Eleanor many years ago at Glen Springs (mid-'70s), but they stayed in touch ever since. Eleanor was so full of caring and full of energy too. There will never be anyone like her again. We knew her husband Ed, too, and he was a wonderful human being. Sadly, Mary also passed away on Dec. 17, 2011. They were all full of love and compassion, and are now together again in a happier place.

We will always have fond memories of Ms. Eleanor and her husband from HTCCC. Our boys will always remember the love and care that Eleanor and ET gave them as preschoolers! Our deepest condolences.

Eleanor was my elementary school teacher. She took my under her wings and helped guide me through life. Eleanor has been like a grandmother to me most of my life. She touched my heart in many ways as she did the hearts of all who knew her. I will always remember her fireball personality, kindness, generosity, and her beautiful smile that lit up the room. I love you Eleanor, you will always be in my heart.

Eleanor touched our family in so many ways. She was the one who encouraged me to become an educator. My youngest daughter was her student, employee, and one of her many adopted grandchildren. Eleanor and ET were late the day of my daughter’s wedding. In typical Eleanor style, she waltzed in and announced, “I knew the wedding would not start until the grandparents arrived.”
We will miss you Eleanor, but we are comforted in knowing that you are with your beloved ET.

Eleanor & ET were wonderful, kind, caring christians! She volunteered at C.W. Duval Fine Arts Academy, and give of her time and talent. She called me her sister as we shared the same last name. I am happy she is at peace.
