JORDAN, JANET ANN

ELIZABETH IPSEN

Wonderful wife, Mother, friend and colleague Janet Ann Elizabeth Ipsen Jordan, MBA, passed on December 28, 2013. She was both a professor and an administrator at City College of Gainesville. Previously she held various sales and management positions primarily related to personal computers.

She was born December 10, 1942, in Denver, Colorado, where she graduated from the University of Denver. She later earned an MBA from Regis University.

She is the dearly loved wife, for 49 years, of Thomas F. Jordan and resided in southwest Gainesville for the last 17 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children - Jennifer Gawrys of Lubbock, TX, Thomas Jordan, Jr., and Janelle Howell, both of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by three grandchildren - Amanda and Timothy Gawrys of Lubbock, TX, and Kaleb Howell of Richmond, VA, as well as five siblings - Karen Berkhofer of South Charleston, OH, Marilyn Walters, Dennis, Brian, and Stephen Ipsen of Denver, CO.

She always put the needs of others before hers and cared deeply for family, friends, students and associates. She is and will continue to be greatly missed.
