In loving memory of my beloved aunt, whose stern hand guided me through the challenges of growing up as 'the girl' with all those boys. Though her discipline felt harsh at times, I now understand the depth of her love and the strength she wished to instill in me. It has taken me over 18 years to put these feelings into words, but her impact on my life has been ever-present. I am forever grateful for her wisdom and the invaluable lessons she imparted. Auntie, your spirit lives on in my heart, and I miss you dearly. Thank you for helping to shape me into the person I am today. Rest in peace.

It seems like yesterday, as we played and grew up together. The days of childhood, when we did not have a care in the world. Through all the years, Lana never changed. I love you Cuz. Weeze, Vera, Lynne, Waymon and Lisa,(Thayla, Delric and Jarett) lean on God's everlasting arms and know he is to wise to make a mistake. A family love is so special, and I am a part of that family.

To Lana's Family..
She was such a wonderful lady. I loved her like my "sister" and when we spoke on the phone I always asked how "Mama" was. Lana had a wonderful voice. I remember singing with her, when I worked for the City. She also had a wonderful sense of humor. I am beside myself. My thoughts, prayers and love go out to her family. She will be missed here on the West Coast.
I LOVE YOU LANA...

My heart goes out to you and your family. Your mom was a great person to be around. I remember when we were younger your mom didn't play, but she had the biggest heart. She just wanted everyone to be respectful and happy. I will never forget the times I was able to spend with her. Always remember that your mom loved you so much and she also loved her community. Ms. Lana will be greatly missed by everyone.

Lana was a lady with a great heart with love for her family and the kids she inspired in her work. She was so proud of her kids and their accomplishments. A good lady whose loss will be felt by all of her family, friends, co- workers, children and adults who were touched and inspired by her.We pray her family finds some comfort in knowing she made a positive difference that will be felt by many throughout their lives.

Ms. Lana was a great lady. My daughter has cheered for the past two years and Ms. Lana was always there with a smile on her face and a helping hand. She will be sorely missed. I will always remember one of the last things I heard Lana say. It was at the Timucua Conference cheer competition two weeks ago. She said that she not only had three children of her own, but about 1500 children, referring to all the boys and girls who she helped over her 15 years of service for the community.
Our greatest sympathies to her family.

Lana was a remarkable lady. She was my mentor and I looked up to her in so many ways. I miss her so much. She inspired everyone who's life she touched and she touched just about everyone's life in some way or another. She always had a smile on her face and you never knew of her health issues unless you found out by accident. She never let health problems stop her from doing for others, especially the kids in the community. She has left behind a very large pair of shoes to be filled. One of the last things Lana emailed to me "I Give Thanks To God For His Love...Patience...Joy...Peace..and Hope In My Life". My thoughts and prayers are with the family she has left behind.
Love and prayers,

Lana will be missed by many, I can remember when she worked extremely hard as a booster Mom at Gainesville High School, not only did she love her children but other children as well. Coca-Cola signed a five year contract with Gainesville High School and Lana was a loyal and great person to work with. I didn't know that years later I would become Booster President for the GHS Varsity Cheerleaders and her granddaughter would cheer and her daughter would be a booster parent, so I still felt connected. I never told her that I loved her but I know in her heart she knew that I did. Lana is related to me by my cousin Inez Jones which is her sister, my family will always be there for her children and grandchildren. We will truly miss Lana and may she rest in peace.
