LEWIS CASON Obituary

CASON, SR., LEWIS JAMES
Mr. Lewis James Cason, Sr., age 66, passed away March 6, 2016 at Shands Hospital UF. Mr. Cason was a member of Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church, and was a graduate of A.L. Mebane High School, Alachua, FL.
Mr. Cason is survived by his wife of forty-one years; Mary S. Cason, Gainesville, FL, children; Lewis Cason, Jr., Kendrick Cason, both of Gainesville, FL, sisters; Patricia Cason, Alachua, FL, Evelyn Wilbert(Lennon) Trenton, FL, Jeanette Cason, Annette Cason, both of Jacksonville, FL, and one grandchild; Derrick Devon Cason.
Funeral Services for Mr. Cason will be held, 11:00am, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church, Rev. Jacquelyn Dupree, Officiating; burial will follow in St. Matthews Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL.
Mr. Cason will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, and on Saturday at the Church from 10:00am until the hour of Service. Family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday at the home of Delano Filer, 4 S.E. 25th Terr. Carolina Manor, at 10:15 am to form the cortege.
