MORRIS VERSCHAEVE Obituary

Morris Verschaeve, age 69, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 18, 2011, surrounded by his family. Morris was born on January 4, 1942 in Leamington, Ontario Canada, and moved to Hawthorne, Florida in March, 1977. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, his cat Sunshine and gardening. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Hawthorne.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents Marcel and Celeste Verschaeve.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna Lily Verschaeve; sons, Derrick Maurice Verschaeve (Jamie) of Melrose, FL Mark Matthew Verschaeve of Lobelville, TN and Michael James Verschaeve of Hawthorne, FL; brothers, Arthur of Leamington, Ontario Canada, Raymond (Linda) of Alliston, Ontario Canada and Robert (Claire) of Sherwood Park, Alberta Canada and grandchildren, Nick and Brianna Verschaeve and Corbin and Reubin Verschaeve.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 26. 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Hawthorne, with Fr. Dung Bui, Fr. Roland Julien and Fr. Bob McDermott as celebrants. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, 2011 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME HAWTHORNE US 301 South at Lake Avenue with the rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorials to St. Philip Neri Building Fund P.O. Box 232 Hawthorne, FL 32640.

After 12 years my prayers are still with your family! Derek Your dad was such a nice man when I would visit blue star in the 90's when we were decorating our new home in Hawthorne, he made it so easy to picture what we wanted, and I think we got everything he suggested. He has the best smile and was very kind to us. I wish I got to know him more personally but my BF at the time did have great conversations with him! Every year your family is in my thoughts and prayers! Much love!
