PHILLIP GRIFFIS Obituary

GRIFFIS, SR., PHILLIP J.
Highland, NY - Phillip J. Griffis, Sr., 85, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Hudson Valley Rehab and Extended Care Facility.
Born January 5, 1932 to the late Albert and Ethel McClelland Griffis. After high school Phillip joined the US Army and served in WWII. Following his honorable discharge from the armed forces he began a career as a thoroughbred horseman until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, Phillip is predeceased by his son Frank Edward, brothers; Russell, Tommy, Bill, and Richie, and his sister Betty Jo.
Survivors include his brothers; LB, and Rocky, sister: Faye, children; Dondi, Philicia, Phillip Jr., and Shawn, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be celebrates at 11am on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Knauff Funeral Home (512 East Noble Avenue, Williston, FL).
