SERENA SALLETT Obituary
Serena Baskin Sallett, 93, passed away Sunday May 20, 2018 at Community Hospice & Pallative Care Center, Jacksonville, FL. She attended A.C.T. School, and was a member of Christ Metropolitan Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Sunday School Class in Jacksonville, FL. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, Philander E. Way, Jacksonville, FL. Carl A. Baskin, (Betty) Gainesville, FL, Arthur Ray Parker, (Kathy) Jacksonville, FL, two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Sallett will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Adrian S. Taylor, officiating, Interment will follow in Forest Meadows Central Memorial Park under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home 18 N.W. 8th Ave Gainesville, FL. Family members are asked to meet at the home of her son, Carl & Betty Baskin, 511 N.E. 25th St. Gainesville, FL at 1:15PM. Visitation Friday Chestnut Memorial Chapel 2:00 - 7:00PM and on Saturday at the church one hour before the service.
