Lisa Beard Rounds Obituary
Lisa Beard Rounds, 49, of Buford, Ga., entered the presence of the Lord Thursday morning, May 11, 2017.
Lisa, a native of Buford, was loving and thoughtful and known for her service to others and creative intellect. She was crowned Buford High School homecoming queen by her peers in 1984 and a graduate of University of Georgia in 1989. Lisa was a gifted elementary teacher to generations of students at Buford Elementary School and a member of Buford Church of God.
She leaves behind her adoring husband, Dean; her loving children, Caroline Tatum and John David Ruth; stepchildren, Ashley Rounds and Brad Rounds; her faithful parents, Janice and David Beard; lifelong best friend, her sister, Leslie Kent and brother-in-law, Max Kent; niece and nephew, Janna and Jax Kent; aunts and uncles, Dorothy and Jerry Kemp, Judy and Donald Smith, Pat and Bill Wortham (Knoxville, Tenn.), Carl Smith, Becky Weeks, Frank Beard, Deborah Holley, Sylvia and Phillip Beard; numerous cousins and dear friends.
Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Christine Thomas and Mildred and Billy Beard.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 4 p.m. Buford Church of God with Pastor Scott Crowe officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford, Ga. The family will receive friends Monday, May 15, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lisa is going to be missed by very many people. She will be forever known to be so sweet, genorus, fun to be around, and funny. I will never forget that year she was chosen to go Kiss the pig at the fall Festival in Buford. That pig didn't want to be kissed. He was just a squealing. We love and miss you Lisa RIP girl.
