Sandra “Big Mama” Lee Couch Obituary

Jan. 19, 1950-April 19, 2016

Sandra "Big Mama" Lee Couch, 66, of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Hazlehurst on Jan. 19, 1950, she had lived in Hall County all her life. She was the daughter of the late Rufus W. Wilson Jr. and Helene Martha Lynch Wilson. Mrs. Couch retired from Schreiber Foods with 30 years of service. After her retirement, she worked for Brenau College. Mrs. Couch was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Couch is survived by her husband of 28 years, Donald Couch; daughter, Michelle Harris Ivey of Gillsville; son, Todd Harris of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Jenny Wilson of Dawsonville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Don Barnette of Gainesville; five grandchildren, Bridget Ivey, Breanna Ivey, Brock Ivey, Tatum Harris and Tanner Harris; and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016, in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Ricky Stone will officiate. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
