Geldia Cooper Carver Holland

Geldia Cooper Carver Holland, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Manor Care in Marietta, Georgia. She was born April 5, 1939 in Gaston County to the late Henry and Dacy (Giles) Cooper. Geldia graduated from Frank L. Ashley High School in Gastonia.

Geldia was a sweet and gentle soul that greatly touched her family, friends and caregivers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Jace Holmes of Georgia; four grandchildren, Crystal Holmes, Jessica Holmes, Chase Carver, Trey Carver; one great grandchild, Brantley Carver.

She is predeceased by her son, Brian D. Carver and her sisters, Sylvia Tweed and Loretta Ross.

A private graveside service was held at Gaston Memorial Park on May 1, 2021. Carothers Funeral Home served the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
